Narrative Horror

I read a book

(A series of books)

That revolves around the concept of

Narrative horror.

Now, the author intended it to mean

Personal horror,

The life that went off the tracks,

But here I think of it in more abstract terms.

In social media

Narrative horror

Is the older idea

Of things “not being as good

As they used to be.”

But what I mean here

Is the idea of

The fixed narrative,

The inability to modulate 

Your interpretation of the world,

Which is also to say,

The older idea of everything being in

Black & white.

And to my mind,

This is certainly a

Narrative horror.
