It Can Be Two Things

As since my nephew

Has been having so much

Unintentional hindsight insight,

Let’s add one more:

At this same young age

I suggested to him

Something could be viewed

In more than one way.

And he was absolutely adamant 

That it couldn’t.

The idea of growing up

Is becoming increasingly 

Sophisticated.

I would very much hope

That if we were to discuss this

Again today,

That he would have

A different perspective.

When I was young

I craved simple things,

But when I grew older

I put away childish things.
